After over twenty five years of high tech engineering work I mysteriously found myself becoming extraordinarily fatigued and noticed
tremors in my hands and arms. It took over a year of tests to determine that I had Early Onset Parkinson's Disease. I tried to
continue working for several more years, but eventually had to resign from full time work and all strenuous activities. About this
time my first grandchild was born, and as a hobby I began creating handmade wooden toys and gifts. Adversity has taught me that often
obstacles are simply doorways to new opportunities.
Sunnywood Studios specializes in turning natural exotic hardwoods into beautiful but functional works of art. Wood is one of the oldest
renewable resources used by humans and we carefully purchase our materials from only reputable sources. Our gifts uniquely display the
original color, patterns, and textures of over a dozen different types of exotic woods, and each gift comes with a card describing the
wood that was used in its creation. We take pride at Sunnywood Studios that our products are all hand made right here in South Carolina
